LLEP WORLD OF WORK GUIDE LEICESTERSHIRE 2024/25
Lutterworth College work closely with the Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), the Careers & Enterprise Company and the Enterprise Advisor Network to help inform our students about the world of work and the local labour market.
Above you will find the electronic version of the (LLEP) 'World of Work' booklet which is a fantastic resource available for students which highlights:-
- different work sectors across the LLEP area
- numbers of people employed in those areas
- which jobs are in demand
- skills that employers value
- suggested links to find out more about working in that sector
There are a number of thriving industries in Leicestershire including logistics, advanced manufacturing & engineering, food & drink, health & social care, business & finance and textiles to name a few.
Additionally, Leicestershire is proud to have a booming tourism and hospitality sector as well as a growing space industry. There are a number of large organisations based in the area including Next, Amazon, Caterpillar, Triumph and Santander offering excellent career opportunities.
The World of Work booklet is available as a hard copy to all students from Years 7-13 from Mrs. Cant
