MAT information
Previously known as The Lutterworth Academies Trust, The Laurels Academies Trust (from January 2023) is a church minority education trust consisting of Lutterworth College - a voluntary controlled Church of England secondary school serving the town of Lutterworth and its surrounding communities.
The Laurels Academies Trust (TLAT) has a Board of Directors, a Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Financial officer as well as a Governance Professional.
The aim of TLAT is to develop the Trust's schools by primarily collaborating & working with other local, similar educational settings for sustainable school improvement and further to specifically to improve the outcomes for our school's young people.
In 2021-2022 academic year TLAT had a Memorandum of Understanding for the purposes of joint school improvement, with Uppingham Community College. The directors of the Trust have approved that the work between Lutterworth College & Uppingham Community College will continue until further notice in order to support both school improvement and student outcomes at both schools.
In response to the challenges of becoming a strong school within a strong family of schools (DfE White Paper 2022), Trust governance & leadership held a strategy meeting in June 2022 and developed ten key principles that would inform any decisions taken in meeting this ambition.
These ten key principles form the basis of our current MAT strategy for The Laurels Academies Trust. (click to view)
