More Able Students at Lutterworth College
A student is categorised as being ‘more able’ if their prior attainment indicates that they can achieve the highest grades. This is shown by their prior attainment profile and current target grades.
In addition, students may display a ‘talent’ within a subject area. For some students this may be in several subjects.

Harvard University offers a range of free online courses. Including an introduction to Computer Science, Defeating Malaria and The Health Effects of Climate Change.
Khan Academy features videos and self-paced exercises covering everything from arithmetic to history, finance to physics.
MIT offers a range of free online courses including Language Variation and Change, Fundamentals of Biology, and Introduction to Geology.
Open Culture lists 1,200 free online courses from top universities.
Open Learn lists free courses from The Open University.
Stanford University offers a range of free online courses. Including Careers in Media Technology, Algorithms and Defining the String Quartet.
Yale University offers a range of free online courses. Including African American History, Modern Poetry, and Introduction to Psychology.

NRich Maths is a free online support for enriching mathematics for all stages.

Backyard Brains gives loads of open-source science experiments to try.
The Royal Society this website contains a range of resources. This includes events such as the ‘You and the planet’ which explores the impact of humans on earth and has a range of videos. This is also useful for Geography. There are also open-access journals to read.
Young Engineers has a national club network for young people interested in engineering and annual national competitions.
