College news 10th November 2017 - 'Lest we forget'
Remembrance Day
Today staff, students & invited guests remembered those fallen in conflicts; and especially those old boys of Lutterworth College, and its predecessors, who had given their lives in defence of our country. A special remembrance service was held at the College with respects paid on the eleventh hour. It was both a poignant and reflective event and I would like to thank both those who organised and attended. With those members of our armed forces in mind we give over the College news this week in their remembrance.

In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
